Unisex Bathrooms

A school in Oregon recently opened unisex bathrooms. They took six student bathrooms and two staff bathrooms and turned them into unisex bathrooms, outfitting them with locks on the inside and "unisex" signs on the door. This was put in to action for transgender students who could not decide which bathroom to go to. Transgender students admitted to saying that they avoid drinking through the day so they don’t have to go through the anxiety of having to choose a bathroom. Out of the 1600 students in the school there are only about 10 transgender students. This accommodation has made their school day much easier. Whats your opinion on unisex bathrooms at your school?

  1. The outcome really was not warranted.Changing so much for only 10 transgender students does not equate. It would have made far more sense to make one bathroom for them.
